Mary Jo Moninghoff (Alumni 2003)
Mary Jo Moninghoff received her training at Nardi Dance Studios. She studied ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, pointe, theatre, and hip hop for 14 years. Mary Jo received her BA in Dance Education and Performance from Cedar Crest College in January of 2008, focusing in the genres of ballet, jazz, tap, and modern. During her time at Cedar Crest College, Mary Jo choreographed several pieces for the Performing Arts Department, as well as performed in numerous dance pieces. She was Dance Company Manager her senior year, and was also Secretary of Alpha Psi Omega, the theatre sorority. In May of 2007, Mary Jo received her Zumba certification. She was also a member of the Precious Metal Dance Team (Lehigh Valley Steelhawks) for five years and danced professionally at the PPL Center for the Steelhawks' home games. In addition to teaching, Mary Jo has choreographed for Warren Hills Regional High School 2009-2014. Shows include: How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Moby Dick! The Musical, Legally Blonde The Musical, Godspell, and Once Upon a Mattress. She still continues to study dance at Broadway Dance Center in New York City as well as various venues in the Lehigh Valley. Mary Jo has continued to be progressive in the dance field by attending the Dance Teacher Summit in New York City each year. Mary Jo came back to teach at Nardi Dance Studio in 2009. Being a triple threat, she was the head of our broadway / theater program, as well as being versatile in every genre of dance. She accepted the position of Assistant Director in 2014, and the role of Artistic Director and office manager in 2020. Mary Jo has been working with the Performance Company Teams since 2016, and has been honored by receiving multiple entertainment awards and various accolades for her dance choreography. She is extremely thrilled to be part of the Nardi family, and continues to share her love of dance with her students.
Marketing and Programs Coordinator
Eden Weinstein is a performer, choreographer, and dance educator originating in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She is a 2017 graduate of the University of Florida with high honors, a degree in dance, accompanied by two minors. Her performance credits range from her hometown stretching along the east coast to as south as central Florida. She represented honorary faculty members in main stage productions throughout her college career, as well as staging multiple dance works of her own. Eden continues to train under some of the most influential dance masters in the business in New York City, NY, Philadelphia, PA, Orlando, FL, as well as attending seminars such as the Dance Teacher’s Summit in NYC. With years of teaching experience, Eden continues to spread her passion for dance throughout the tri-state area. Currently, Eden has been on staff at Nardi Dance Studios since 2017, where she acts as Marketing Director, Programs Coordinator, and full time teacher. She has also been an adjudicator for Believe National Talent Competition, 8 National Dance Competition, and social media coordinator for True Dance Challenge. In addition, she is the founder of the Revive Dance Initiative, a dance benefit performance looking to give the gift of hope and healing through dance to local dance families in need due to effects of chronic illness. Eden’s enthusiasm and love for her craft keeps her work at a cutting-edge level that pushes dancers and herself to raise the bar constantly.
Kaley Casagrande (Alumni 2018)
Kaley Casagrande has been dancing for 18 years, and upon graduation, spent 15 years training at Nardi Dance Studios. She trained in all styles and was a member of the Nardi performance company. A highlight of Kaley’s time at Nardi’s was performing at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in honor of the 2016 Orlando Nightclub shooting. Over the years, she has had many other performance and training opportunities throughout the greater Lehigh Valley and Tristate area, including attending the Joffrey Ballet School for a 2-week jazz and contemporary intensive in 2016. Kaley is now currently a Junior at Muhlenberg College where she is double majoring in Dance with a concentration in Education, and Business Administration with a concentration in Management. She has spent her last two semesters participating in fieldwork, teaching dance in Public School Systems within the Allentown School District, focusing in modern and creative movement styles for children. Kaley will be joining the Nardi faculty this fall as she completes her senior year at Muhlenberg.
Alicia Rampulla Conklin (Alumni 2003)
Alicia Rampulla Conklin is a native of the Lehigh Valley, where she began her dance training at Nardi Studios at the age of three. After 15 years of training under the direction of Miss Tammy, Alicia began her teaching career at Nardi Studios in 2003 and remained on faculty until 2010. She instructed ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics, hip hop to children ages preschool and up. During that time, Alicia received her Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Northampton Community College and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with an interdisciplinary in Sociology and Psychology from Moravian College. Alicia has continued her dance education by attending regional master classes, Tap Ties classes, and studying at the Broadway Dance Center in NYC. Alicia was an active member of the Moravian College Dance Team from 2006 to 2008. She was also a dance team member of the Lehigh Valley Storm Football from 2009-2010, and a professional dancer for the semi-professional indoor arena football team, The Lehigh Valley Steel Hawks from 2011-2012. Alicia was on the dance faculty at Juli Kells Dance Studio in Pennsburg, Pa. from 2013-2019 where she instructed ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics, and hip hop to children ages preschool to adult. Alicia returned to Nardi's in 2019 with a Teacher Certification in Acrobatic Art, this will help build a more comprehensive program for interested students. Alicia is a loving wife, and a mother of two beautiful daughters, Juliana and Johana.
Natalie Hedrick grew up in the Lehigh Valley and has been studying ballet for over 18 years. She started her initial dance training with Miss Tanya in Nazareth, and later studied ballet at The Pennsylvania Youth Ballet under the artistic direction of Karen Knerr. At age 13, Natalie was invited to attend the pre-professional division at The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School of Ballet, with American Ballet Theatre, under the direction of Franco De Vita. In 2015, Natalie moved to Boston to train at Boston Ballet School in their pre-professional program, and the following year was promoted to the trainee program under the direction of Margaret Tracey. In 2017 Natalie was accepted into Indiana University’s The Jacobs School of Music ballet department. While at Indiana University she was chosen to perform principal and soloist roles in works by George Balanchine, Christopher Wheeldon, and Twyla Tharp. She also choreographed in multiple showcases and taught regularly for the Jacobs Academy Pre-College Program. Natalie earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Ballet in 2020.
Lara Hill (Alumni 2017)
Lara Hill began dancing at the age of 5 at Nardi Dance Studios, where she trained for 13 years. During her time at Nardi’s, she served as a student teacher for 5 years, participated in the Student Choreography Showcase, performed at Tap Ties National Tap Dance Day Celebrations, and was involved in a flash mob at Steel Stacks. In 2009, she was a part of the selected Nardi dancers to perform at the State Theatre as Munchkins and Winkies in the National Tour Play of “The Wizard of Oz.” This is Lara’s second year shadowing at the studio, assistant teaching as well as substitute teaching, and this year she has also lent a hand in the foyer. She is beyond grateful for, and always looks forward to, the time she spends in her second home working with the amazing students and faculty, her Nardi dance family.
Nicole B. Hockenberry, a PA native, has been tap dancing professionally for over 20 years. Nicole became a performing member of A&G Dance in 1991, under the Artistic Direction of Germaine Salsberg and Manhattan Tap in 1992, under the Artistic Direction of Heather Cornell. As the founder and director of T.A.P. (1995-2006 & 2013-ongoing), Nicole has been asked to teach and perform with the New York Foundation for the Arts, the St. Louis Tap Festival, Soul to Sole (Austin, TX), Columbus Taps, Third Coast Rhythm Project (San Antonio, TX), Southeastern Tap Explosion (Atlanta, GA), Everything on Tap! (Dallas, TX), Traditions in Tap (New York City), Tap Jam (Albuquerque, NM), Chicago Human Rhythm Project, The Big Apple Tap Festival, SoFlo Tap Fest, The Rock City Tap Festival, Resonance Tap Experience and Tap City: The New York Tap Festival, among others. Nicole's choreography has been commissioned by tap companies throughout the country, including RPM (San Antonio, TX), Tap Ties (Allentown, PA), In Motion (Chester, NJ) and Austin Tap Ensemble (Austin, TX). Nicole joined Germaine Ingram, tap partner to La Vaughn Robinson, for performances in the Philadelphia DanceBoom! Series in 2005, held at the famous WILMA Theatre in Philadelphia, PA. Nicole was a founding member of the women's tap trio, The Shelley Oliver Tap Dancers, under the Artistic Direction of Shelley Oliver and the Musical Direction of David Leonhardt from 1997 – 2002. Nicole is a featured speaker and performer on behalf of Dr. James ‘Buster' Brown, in the Doctors of Dance Documentary filmed in February 2002, at Oklahoma City University, Oklahoma. Nicole spent twelve years as an adjunct professor of Dance at Cedar Crest College (Allentown, PA) and three years a Master Lecturer at the University of the Arts (Philadelphia, PA), teaching tap courses involving Musical Structure, Tap History and Improvisation as well as directing both the Cedar Crest and UArts Tap Ensembles. Currently, Nicole is a part-time Lecturer of Tap in the Dance Department of Muhlenberg College (Allentown, PA) and runs the MCDC Tap program. Nicole is the 2017 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the LVAIC Dance Consortium. Nicole, along with her husband Mark and children Julia and Alan, make their home in Eastern Pennsylvania and are also the proud owners of Crafty Nicole, (www.craftynicole.com), an online custom designed, clay accessory business that services the international tap community.
Jackie Moyer is a dance educator, performer, and choreographer located in the Lehigh Valley. In 2007, Jackie earned her degree in dance from DeSales University, and immediately began her professional teaching and performance career. As a performer, Jackie has been a company member for several Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia based dance companies, including ContempraDance Theatre, Melange Contemporary Dance Company, DanceETHOS Peformance company, and DANCElink. While dancing with each of these companies, Jackie has had the opportunity to travel and perform around the country, and internationally, collaborate with other artists, and teach workshops. Additionally, Jackie continues to work with various, well-established dance artists from both New York and Philadelphia as a freelance dancer. Jackie’s professional choreographic works have been seen in New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and the Lehigh Valley. As a dance educator, Jackie has taught at several Lehigh Valley dance studios, working with various ages and levels teaching genres such as jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, and ballet. Jackie has also worked with each studio’s competitive teams, many of which have received multiple first place awards under her direction. Her choreography for these teams throughout the years has earned her many choreography awards. Jackie is currently in her 6th year at Nardi Dance Studios.
Graceanne Ruggiero (Alumni 2012)
Graceanne Ruggiero studied dance intensively at Nardi Studios for twelve years, training in ballet with Carol Sarik and in tap with Jill Fitzgerald. She graduated in 2016 from Muhlenberg College, where she studied Environmental Science and Secondary Education. While in college, Graceanne was heavily involved in the dance program, continuing her dance training with teachers such as Karen Dearborn, Heidi Cruz-Austin, and Trinette Singleton from the Joffrey Ballet. She performed in many student and faculty-choreographed works, and was a member of Muhlenberg’s tap ensemble under the direction of Shelley Oliver. Graceanne is now a member of the Tap Ties Apprentice Company (TTapp), which allows her to perform traditional tap pieces around the Lehigh Valley. In addition to teaching dance, Graceanne is also a science teacher at Freedom High School.
Heidi Clark is a native New Jersian. Upon graduating high school, she continued her sectretarial skills at a two year technical school where she completed their executive secretarial program. Moving to PA in 1985 and raising her family; she continued to pursue her secretarial skills and joined the "Nardi" fmaily in 2006. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Donna Harrison moved to PA from NY in 2017. Graduated Hofstra University with a BA in Dance. She went on to own and operate a very succesful dance studio in NY for 17 years, Donna's Gotta Dance Inc. She has always been a prt of a dance family, and is happy to add the Nardi family to the list.
